Flexy Pop Up 2026.
This year, the Pop Up project is even more flexible. Open call from 23 February to 13 September 2026.
What is Flexy Pop Up 2026
Flexy Pop Up is the open call supporting the continuation of the Pop Up project in 2026, allowing the temporary use of vacant spaces in the historic centre of Chiusi in a flexible way.
The call is open to individuals, associations, professionals, businesses, artisans and shopkeepers interested in managing one of the available vacant spaces in Chiusi’s historic centre for a minimum of four weeks and up to seven months, between March and October 2026.
Flexy Pop Up is an always-open call: applications can be submitted from 23 February until 13 September 2026, depending on the availability of unused spaces.
Interested applicants can apply through the online form, indicating the period during which they would like to use the space. Priority will be given to proposals covering longer periods, but shorter proposals of at least four weeks will also be considered.
This flexible format allows one or more spaces to host different activities in rotation during the Pop Up period, managed by different participants.
Who can apply
The Flexy Pop Up call is open to associations, professionals, businesses, artisans, shopkeepers and individuals or groups with a project idea for reopening and using vacant spaces made available by property owners in the streets of Chiusi’s historic centre.
Spaces can be used for a flexible period ranging from a minimum of four weeks to a maximum of seven months, between March and October 2026.
The call aims to support social and creative energies from both individuals and groups, regardless of where they come from or where they live.
What the project offers
The Pop Up project provides selected participants (“popuppers”) with several benefits designed to support the launch and testing of new activities while significantly reducing initial costs in a historic commercial area. Participants will receive:
- a free space in the historic centre of Chiusi for a flexible period from 4 weeks up to 7 months, between March and October 2026, through a free loan agreement. Any necessary basic restoration work on the spaces will be covered by the Municipality of Chiusi;
- guidance and support throughout the project from a coordination team including the Municipality of Chiusi and three expert organisations: Sociolab, specialised in participation and urban regeneration processes; Flod, a communication agency focused on place branding and territorial marketing; and Confesercenti, an organisation providing advanced support services for commercial businesses;
- a communication and promotion campaign for both the overall project and the individual activities, helping participants increase their visibility locally and among visitors and tourists;
- consultancy and tailored support services from Confesercenti to help participants start and manage their activities, build relationships with property owners and address possible operational challenges;
- participation in a public event, the Pop Up Festival, on a date to be announced.
